Kalaburagi, Aug. 28: A Rakshabandhan program was held at Rashtrotthana Vidya Kendra – Sharanashirasagi.
- As a guest of honour at the program, Sri Aravind Hunasagi, a retired SBI Bank officer, arrived and spoke about the children. He told the children that we are all brothers, we are all one, we are all Hindus. “We, who wear Rakshabandhan, should be committed to the protection of the nation.” He expressed the hope that the bad things happening in society should be stopped, the people who are in trouble should be protected, and the environment should be protected. He felt that this program is very necessary to maintain the health of society and maintain harmony.
- In the program, the children and the staff tied Rakshabandhan to each other.
The importance of the festival was conveyed to all the children by tying Rakhi to them after visiting the government schools of Sharanashirasagi and other schools.

- ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮಕ್ಕೆ ಅಭ್ಯಾಗತರಾಗಿ ಶ್ರೀ ಅರವಿಂದ ಹುಣಸಗಿ, ನಿವೃತ್ತ ಎಸ್ ಬಿಐ ಬ್ಯಾಂಕ್ ಅಧಿಕಾರಿಗಳು, ಆಗಮಿಸಿ ಮಕ್ಕಳನ್ನು ಕುರಿತು ಮಾತನಾಡಿದರು. ನಾವೆಲ್ಲ ಬಂಧು, ನಾವೆಲ್ಲ ಒಂದು, ನಾವೆಲ್ಲ ಹಿಂದೂ ಎಂಬುದನ್ನು ಮಕ್ಕಳಿಂದ ಹೇಳಿಸಿದರು. “ರಕ್ಷೇಧರಿಸಿದ ನಾವು ರಾಷ್ಟ್ರ ರಕ್ಷಣೆಗೆ ಕಟಿಬದ್ಧರಾಗೋಣ” ಸಮಾಜದಲ್ಲಿ ನಡೆಯುವ ಕೆಟ್ಟ ಕೆಲಸ ನಿಲ್ಲಿಸಿ ತೊಂದರೆ ಆಗುವ ಜನರಿಗೆ ರಕ್ಷಣೆ ನೀಡಬೇಕು, ಪರಿಸರ ಸಂರಕ್ಷಣೆ ಮಾಡಬೇಕು ಎಂದು ಆಶಯವನ್ನು ವ್ಯಕ್ತಪಡಿಸಿದರು. ಸಮಾಜದ ಸ್ವಾಸ್ಥ್ಯ ಕಾಪಾಡುವ ನಿಟ್ಟಿನಲ್ಲಿ, ಸಮರಸತೆ ಕಾಪಾಡುವುದಕ್ಕಾಗಿ ಈ ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮ ಬಹಳ ಅವಶ್ಯಕ ಎಂದು ಅಭಿಪ್ರಾಯ ಪಟ್ಟರು.
- ಕಾರ್ಯಕ್ರಮದಲ್ಲಿ ಮಕ್ಕಳು ಹಾಗೂ ಸಿಬ್ಬಂದಿ ವರ್ಗದವರು ಪರಸ್ಪರ ರಕ್ಷೆ ಕಟ್ಟಿದರು.
ಶರಣ ಸಿರಸಗಿಯ ಸರ್ಕಾರಿ ಶಾಲೆಗಳಿಗೆ ಹಾಗೂ ಇನ್ನಿತರ ಶಾಲೆಗಳಿಗೆ ಭೇಟಿ ನೀಡಿ ಆ ಮಕ್ಕಳಿಗೆಲ್ಲ ರಾಖಿ ಕಟ್ಟಿ ಹಬ್ಬದ ಮಹತ್ವವನ್ನು ತಿಳಿಸಲಾಯಿತು.
